I just received my new PowerMax+, and started fiddling with the menus not paying too much attention to the manual (the information on the display looked informative enough to me). Along the way I decided to change the Master Installer Code, and later, when giving out user codes to myself and my wife, I made the (fatal?) decision that my own user code should be the same as (my) Master Installer Code. No error messages, so I thought everything went well.

Later, however, I experienced several problems hooking up the GSM module and defining it to be the only telephone line. The panel kept nagging that there was something wrong with the telephone line, even though I also received SMS'es which to me showed that everything worked ok. Anyhow, I decided I wanted to reset the whole system and start over with the installation manual at hand, so I tried to enter the menu choice of 'resetting to factory default'. But of course, entering my PIN only gave me access to the ordinary menu.

If it's a Powermax + you do not need an expander, there are already connections on board at the rear of the panel. If it's a Powermax Complete you need an expander module from Visonic. Be careful with the loads of the bell, make sure its a Deltabell E and put it in SCB mode. You can buy a battery for your existing wireless bell for less than £20. Having successfully gained access to the installer menu (see Section 1), the display will read: D.1.NEW INSTL CODE B. To change the installer code, click. The old code will appear (the factory default if this is the first change): E.

None of the default codes (9999, 8888, 1111) worked. I unplugged the power supply and the backup battery and left the panel without power during the night, but as suspected it wasn't enough to make it forget my mistake.

Are there anything else I can do in order to undo my coding mistake? Regards, Christopher.
