As the titles says i just came across this today, has anyone heard about this? I guess even some of community member's are involved in its recreation process so it sounds like a win! Edit: So i did this on another forum and just to keep up with consistancy i will post just some of the FAQ on here for people to look before posting This is an abridged version of the questions, so if you want to know more go to the link. Will the server browser work again? How does the Community Patch (CPP) fit into this?

  1. Neverwinter Nights Patch 1.71

(also known as CPP or 1.71) We have been working very closely with Shadooow to incorporate portions of the Community Patch into the game. Will I retain ownership of the premium modules I purchased from BioWare?

Jul 02, 2010  Windows Vista and 'Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition' compatibility issue Installed the game fine, but when I go to play the game it pops up a compatibility issue window that tells me to look for solutions on this site. For Neverwinter Nights Diamond on the PC, a GameFAQs Answers question titled 'Is there a patch or update for Microsoft Windows Vista?'

Neverwinter Nights Windows Vista PatchWindowsWindows

Will 1.69 clients be able to connect to NWN:EE servers? No What languages will NWN:EE be released in? English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Polish. Italian and Spanish localizations are both text-only. Will NWN:EE work on macOS or Linux? And for both.

Neverwinter Nights Patch 1.71

Is NWN:EE DRM free? Multiplayer will require a unique CD-Key, just like it did in the good ol-day's. Will Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition run on old systems, like Windows XP and Windows Vista? What about nwserver.exe? These are my words on it: Windows 7 and up only it seems. Im sure someone in the community will find a work-around for it. Will Beamdog provide ongoing server system support for Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition like BioWare did for the original game?

Question's that got answered on the livestream Will Beamdog make a nwn2 EE? At this time, no.

The dev's there said it was becaues its Obsidian who would have to make that decision not them Will beamdog take user suggestion's? Right now beamdog is looking for us the community to REACH OUT TO THEM. If we want changes done we could let them know Petition for cross compatibility between E.E and 1.69 There is also a petition going out right now for a cross compatibility between nwn1:EE & 1.69, which i don't see that happening since they plan to push the 1.71 unofficial patch.

You can however still look into that here: Release Notes of nwn1:E.E Thanks to Tarot Redhand for the PDF release note link! This is a.pdf file of the realease notes for E.E (49). Personally as excited as I was to hear of NWN EE. Just learning about it not being able to have Diamond Edition 1.69 Clients connect to it, kinda sucks.(I got alot of friends that would have to rebuy the game, unless of course I just stayed on the old client.) I would imagine that has something to do with the complete rebuild of the multiplayer function in NWN EE since the old gamespy stuff got torn down years ago. I own 6 copies of Diamond, lol, one still sealed. Kinda frustrating, oh well I guess we will see what improvements they make, and as always, 'work' with them.
