Suited for 2018 OS and PCs. I bought a generic UsB Guitar Link from ebay. I comes with an instruction manual and a driver cd with guitar rig 2. I tried setting up the drivers but. Driver guitar link ucg102 windows 8. Check this article where I quote: It looks like signal gets to the combo since the meters jump when I play but no sound comes back through the headphones. The interface came with a CD with software on it; Behringer's own ASIO driver, Audacity and Guitar Rig amp combos. However the driver is dated so I wanted to download and use an updated driver but the drivers aren't on the vender site anymore.why? And the interface itself is dated too to be honest. It came out when 64-bit systems weren't even a thing. That could be why any updated drivers I downloaded and tried to install wouldn't install, because I have Windows 7 64-bit. The driver on the CD does install and work but I found it not working adequately enough, as well as the ASIO4ALL driver. The sound I was getting was poor, which is why I wanted to use an updated driver because perhaps it would be better.
I used the interface with Guitar Rig 5, and tried using it with Amplitube 3 but I couldn't even get an input from the thing despite having the correct settings. The sound some other people get from it is better and I figured it was because they are using an updated driver.
I did set it up as instructed and looked on Google for advice. Either way it didn't work adequately enough for me. I am unsatisfied with this product. I would suggest getting a more recent interface rather than this outdated guitar link. The windows software cannot register under Windows 7.
The offline registration does not work neither. It is not important as in demo mode it is obvious that the software is not worth the effort. The support asked for 'few days' to respond to the request. A month later the 'few days' have not elapsed obviously. The latency is not low enough. The sound is crappy.
There is no 64 bit driver and the link to the manufacturer's site broken. The user must figure out to download asio4all and figure out how to configure it. It does NOT work well with asio4all. Latency, noises, sound interruptions. Never mind - in any case you cannot register the 'free' combo with the provided key. One good thing - the hardware works under linux with Jack. Interbase xe server keygen download.
If you figure out how to optimize the linux and configure jack you may get low latency and mediocre sound. Yeah, and although the tech supprot never answered my request and never helped me, this does not stop NI to spam me constantly with their new products, which, needless to say, I'll never buy. I can't personaly comment on the sound quality or easy of use or indeed anything operational about this device because as i found out after i bought it, it will absolutly will not work on a computer running 64bit vista (the blurb said compatible with 98 2000 me and vista so excuse the assumption that'd it work on my pc). I contacted the manufacturer and got the response that the hardware was incompatible and that they had no intention of making drivers for it.
Windows 64 Bit Usb Driver
The moral of this tale? If you are running a 64bit computer with 64bit software (a fairly common standard these days) forget it. Unless of some kindly person out there has a soultion.
This works really well but be aware that the software on the disc provided is very old. In order to install the license key for the AC Box Combo you need to download and install a newer version of the Service Centre Controller Editor from Native Instruments. The AC Box Combo is no longer available on their website but works fine once licensed. You can also download a free install of Guitar Rig 5, which is far more versatile and presumably the replacement. I fed the headphone out from the Guitar Link and my computer into a set of powered speakers via a splitter and it works a treat. Behringer need to update the software disc and instructions though, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Cant say allot more ( but i will!).
I wanted an audio interface to plug my guitar into the laptop so i could do some recording. After looking at many many different makes and models i read a review on the mixcraft website from a bloke who has used one to record guitar, bass, and even stuck a sure sm58 through for vocals with great results ( his songs on the site to download). So i shopped around and amazon had the best deal by far! ( over £50 in local shops).
It's well worth a try, to use to record onto your DAW if you record one track at a time. Now feb 2013 and it still works, and i plug a behringer C1 through behringer mic800 into it for vocals on my daw with great results! I can understand the problems that the reviewers who gave low ratings as it took me several frustraiting attempts to get any sound out but it was worth it in the end. Having loaded the ASIO drivers I got nothing through the interface, but after loading both the virtual amps and changing the settings in the energy-xt2 recording software I was able to get clear sound with no delay, and got some really nice effects through the pre-sets on the virtual amps. The delivery was made within 3 days of my order, so no complaints from me.
This item was amazing, worked without any hassle. Just install the asio driver on windows before installing the supplied software. Great effects though some where a bit cpu intensive for my 5 year old laptop. However my new laptop has no problems at all.
The built in tapedeck in guitar rig makes it easy to record a simple backing progression that you can solo over, love it. Works with ubuntu for all you linux users, just plug it in and it works with rakarrack and guitarix via jack (audio connection kit) jack is a bit fiddly but theres plenty of setup guides to get you rocking. I had already tested this product because a friend of mine owned it and liked the idea of home recording. I use it mostly with my laptop and although the sound quality isn't that great it's more than adequate for my needs. It was a little difficult for me to set it up at first. I recommend to install both the behringer and the asio4all drivers.
I use a combination of Guitar Rig 5 and Reaper which i find very simple to use. Overall if you have a limited budget like me this product will definitely satisfy your need to record some of your ideas and play over them in order to expand them.
