America's Army appeared in 2002 with America's Army: Operations (PC game). Through the years the U.S.Army constantly updated the game from version 1.0 to 2.8.5 (They even made that console version of it that you were talking about). Then They stopped the development of AA2.x versions and they decided to create a whole new version using an updated version of the unreal engine, they called it America's Army 3. They are currently developing America's Army Proving Grounds which is the new version of the AA game.

This is the game everyone's currently playing. It's a BETA version of what It is going to be.

I wouldn't call it a COD clone just yet. It's still finding itself. The best AA game was the AA 1.X to the 2.X.X games, that is when the AA community was at its peak, those versions were also on the Unreal 2 engine, it was the 1st release of the series. When the 2.x series came out, it in♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ed hte SF stuff, and in my opinion the greatest map/gamemode on a FPS i have ever played, which was Hospital with the V.I.P. AA3.x did alot of damage to the franchise, if it was not a gov run for profit enterprise that game would of never got released There are many truths in what you say!

I played the original AA on a dial-up connection, and even with mass amounts of lag I still spent many many days on Bridge. La noire pc activation code keygen idm. Lagging out and falling off the catwalk. AA2 was where I really found my own, countless days/weeks/months were spent in AA2 getting ridiculous levels of honor by just playing SF Hospital, esp as the injured VIP hiding in the alley way trash bins. I'll always remember the days of being that severely injured old man, shooting someone in the carpark, taking their gun and just rampaging to the extraction.

Then there was Bridge. Never before has any FPS come close to being as much fun as Bridge in AA2 with a sniper.

Camping in the tower to take out all the rushers, and then slowly crawling your way around the map. Those were the days where a sniper was one hit kill most of the time, and thanks to the bolt action people took time to line up a shot, you generally only had one shot to make it count. And I miss qualifying for the right to use a weapon, you had to EARN the sniper class.
